Caddo judge presents ‘Don’t let this be you’ Teen Consequences Program Tues.

The Caddo Sheriff’s Office and Judge Scott Crichton will present “Don’t Let This Be You”, a program for teens illustrating the serious legal consequences of criminal behavior. 

The program is designed for ages 13 and up as well as their parents, will be held on Tuesday May 15, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Dylan Cowgill of Caddo Parish is the recipient of an academic scholarship from the Louisiana Sheriffs' Scholarship Program, Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator announced Wednesday. 

Cowgill is a graduating senior at North Caddo Magnet High. He will use the $500 scholarship at Louisiana Tech University where he plans to study engineering.

The drive is scheduled for Saturday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Fit for Life Sports Weekend takes place May 12-13 and will feature more than 20,000 athletes from around the world competing in a variety of sporting events throughout Shreveport and Bossier.  

Bodybuilding, strongman competitions and arm wrestling are just a few of the varying athletes and sports you will see competing at the Shreveport Convention Center.  

Admission is $20 per person at the Shreveport Convention Center on Saturday, May 12 and will give spectators access to all events throughout the day.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office begin accepting applications Thursday for four summer camps.

Caddo Sheriff's Camp, an overnight camp for boys ages 10-13, will be held at Garland Scout Ranch June 10-13 in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America, Norwela Council.
