Shreveport man charged with scamming the elderly | Crime

Caddo Parish Detectives arrested a Shreveport man Thursday for taking money from elderly people using a fraudulent investment scheme.
49-year-old Stanley Mangham, was an agent with a national investment company when he convinced three victims, all over the age of 65, they were investing their money with that company.
Between December 2008 and March 2011, Mangham stole $253,900 from the victims by depositing their checks into a business bank account which belonged to him. He later withdrew the money.
Mangham was arrested by Sheriff’s Detective Bobby Herring for theft of assets of an aged person and booked into Caddo Correctional Center.
