CPSO Training Academy graduates 33 new officers

New badges were handed out to 33 men and women from across northwest Louisiana who make up the latest graduation class from the Caddo Sheriff's Regional Training Academy.

Academy trainees spend at least 360 hours learning about the law, patrol activities, traffic services, report writing, firearms, first aid, and criminal justice.

The graduation ceremony was held at the Summer Grove Baptist Church. After they took their oath of office, family and friends helped the new officers pin on their badges.

There was one badge pinning which spanned two generations of law enforcement officers. New Caddo Deputy Britton LeBlanc got his badge from his father, Shreveport Police Capt. Tony LeBlanc.
