Caddo Sheriff offering rifle sight-in ahead of deer season | Events

The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office will allow hunters and other rifle owners to use the Sheriff's Training Academy firing range for four days during the month of October.
Opening the Training Academy will allow folks to sight-in their rifles for the upcoming deer season.
The days the firing range will be open to the public are:
- Tuesday, October 2 from 7 a.m. to noon
- Thursday, October 4 from 7 a.m. to noon
- Saturday, October 6 from 7 a.m. to noon
- Saturday, October 13 from 7:30 - 11:00 a.m.
State-certified instructors will work one-on-one with shooters to get ready for the upcoming deer season. Reservations are needed to meet with instructions.
Targets will be furnished, but shooters must provide their own ammunition. Before arriving at the firing range, weapons must be unloaded and shooters must bring eye and ear protection.
