Early voting begins Saturday for April 6 election

Secretary of State Tom Schedler is encouraging all Louisianians eligible to vote in the April 6 primary election to consider voting early starting this Saturday. Early voting begins Saturday, March 23rd and continues through Saturday, March 30. The polls will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, excluding Good Friday (March 29) and Easter Sunday (March 31).

Caddo Parish's government website, designed and powered by CivicPlus, has been awarded by the AVA Digital Awards with a Gold award. Caddo’s website was selected from among more than 2,000 entries.

37 jobs coming soon to NWLA, thanks to USDA Grant

USDA Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced Thursday that funding is being provided to producers and development organizations in 40 states and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to promote job creation and business development.

One of the recipients announced is in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The Coordinating and Development Corporation has been selected for a $750,000 Intermediary Relending Program (IRP) loan to provide low-interest financing to public and non-profit groups for business and community development.

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – The District 3 seat for the Caddo Parish School Board is now vacant after the weekend resignation of Willie Burton.

Right now Burton has not given any reason for his decision to resign.
